I like to take flower images after the rain. I don’t know why but seeing them gives nice comforting feelings to my soul. This is a Cambodia flower near my daughter’s school. There are a lot of beautiful plants in that area.

Rose Apple Flower © Rosidah Abdin

I just love to see the raindrops falling from this beautiful rose apple flower. It was slightly raining and I was looking around to find some interesting photo objects while escorting my daughter to one of her school activities.  Since I’m only an amateur taking some pictures with my mobile phone, can you imagine what a professional photographer could do? Mother nature is such a beauty. It’s a shame that some people don’t care.

I found a quite comprehensive rose apple profile on the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service site, if you would like to know more about this plant.

Cold Weather

By Rosidah Abidin

I took this picture around 8 o’clock this morning at our backyard. It has been cold and rainy for days and I was thinking about  some tips to share on this blog. Here are a few of them.

Health.com is a quite comprehensive site which gives vital health information with a human touch, like Quick Tips: Staying Active in Cold Weather.

Paul Hochman’s: 7 Tips to Stay Warm and Save Dough is a link on how to stay warm, avoid the chill, and keep your wallet safe from sudden leaks. Go on and read it!

Reed Berry’s: Rainy Weather Driving Tips reminds a rainy day can be refreshing, a walk in the rain can be romantic… but driving in the rain, however, can be quite dangerous. So he’s giving you some helpful tips.

Well, the following link actually isn’t a tip, but Entheos Free Resources’: Rain Effect Photoshop tutorial. You can also find a lot of other useful tutorials on this site.
